As per discussion with ARB board members, sign on side shall not be placed on brown (brick) portion,
but instead shall be relocated, to be placed completely on upper beige portion. Furthermore, the
gooseneck light(s) may be relocated if possible further up, to allow for repositioning of sign. Raised
lights are allowable on both front and side if possible, or may be eliminated. Only 1 sign is allowed per
store, so applicant must go before ZBA for approval of 2 signs.
Public Comment:

Opened on motion by member Healey, 2nd member Steinhorst. Closed on motion by member Healey,
2nd member O’Neill. Approved by vote 5-0
Conclusion:
Application approved with the condition that sign on side (west) of store shall be relocated above
brown(brick) façade and placed entirely on upper beige portion. Gooseneck lights are allowable if
repositioned further up to fit sign(s). Recommend proceeding to ZBA for review.
Motion by member Healey, 2nd by member Steinhorst. Approved by 5-0 vote.
3. 106 Sickles Avenue. Cristiane Bertone. Application for windows and French door.
Application presented by: Daniel Diaz
Board discussion:
Applicant is seeking approval for multiple parts of project including retroactive approval and approval
for planned portions of project.
Seeking retroactive approval for small rear porch and brick paver patio. Rear porch already constructed;
replaced closed in rear entryway. New porch is constructed with pressure treated structure and
composite decking. Drawings of previous enclosed entryway not provided. Footprint of new porch
roughly the same as previous enclosed entryway, with no change to roof. Stairs are relocated toward
the rear (north) instead of toward east. Brick paver patio also already installed. Features walkways
wrapping on east side to entry door as well as west side to proposed new entry. Also includes walkway
toward rear (north) of property with circular area at end.
Proposed entry way mentioned previously on west side of house facing toward rear (north) of house, is
for double French doors with full single lite, clear glass. French door color to be java bean, closely
matching trim color on existing house.
Final portion of proposal concerns brick enclosed porch on west side of house. Looking to replace
sliding windows with new sliding windows to match in kind, windows will have brown (bronze) casings.
No change to size of windows. Area under brick to be finished with stucco matching rest of existing
house. Concrete filled hole in brick to be ‘painted’ or finished to blend in with surrounding brick as close
as possible. There was discussion to paint over brick, but it was agreed upon to keep brick, in keeping
with existing look of house and concern over difficulty matching rest of building.
