Call to Order i. Meeting called to order by Chair Valerie Hancock. b. Roll Call i. Present: Julie Spengler, Valerie Hancock, Vicki Evans, Herb Roach, Chad Schwarz, ii. Absent: Bob Kueker, Camren Luster, Mark Kampen iii. City Representatives: Cameron DeWitt iv. Public: William Smith c. Approval of Minutes i. The draft minutes from the 3/3/26 meeting were presented to the commission. ii. Motion: Vicki Evans moved to approve the minutes as presented. Roach seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. 2 New Business a. Certificate of Appropriateness: 216 West Adams i. Bill Smith described his plan to slide barn structure to side and construct a basement below, then slide barn back into place. No changes to barn structure will be made. ii. Motion to approve Certificate of Appropriateness made by Julie Spengler, seconded by Vicki Evans. Motion carried unanimously. 3 Old Business a. Future designation options i. Julie provided list of possible future HPC designation options compiled by an architect with a fresh perspective on O’Fallon buildings. This is a partial list. Another drive-around is planned later. ii. Commission should review properties and respond with any they agree would be good examples of historic O’Fallon homes. b. Update on BB Schmitt Plaque i. Cameron reported that the replacement for the piece arrived and has been reattached. c. Plaque for 907 Southview Landmark Designation i. Proof was approved for production d. America 250 Campaign Page 2 of 4  i. Cameron reported first HPC social media article will be posted this month. ii. Julie will forward post about the Tiedemann Family in O’Fallon and their ties to early US time period. 4 Public Comments a. None 5 Close a. A motion to adjourn was made by Vicki Evans. Motion was seconded by Herb Roach. Motion carried unanimously. The Commission, after determining the preliminary boundaries for any proposed landmark site, shall set a time and place for a public hearing on the merits of designating the landmark site proposed. The boundaries of the landmark site finally designated may include less than the area established as the preliminary boundaries, but shall not include less than the area established as the preliminary boundaries, but shall not include more area without a new or continued public hearing for which separate notice is provided. The commission will discuss the following sites as potential landmark designations: 1301 De Soto Drive, 1416 S Yale Drive, 513 Westfield Drive, 510 Susan Court, 434 N Oak Street, 430 N Oak Street, 401 N Oak Street, 316 W Madison Street, 502 N Oak Street, 204 Fontainebleau, 307 Emily Drive.
