Minutes: • The meeting minutes from February 16, 2023, were reviewed by the attending committee members. The minute was approved with corrections. OLD BUSINESS: - NONE NEW BUSINESS: A. HUMAN RESOURCES 1. NO Update B. POLICE DEPARTMENT NO Update C. FIRE DEPARTMENT 1. Provided correction to the February 16, 2023, minutes as follows: i. Need to recruit “one (1) Lieutenant” ii. Recruitment time is year “2025” iii. Change of wording to “24-hour” work shift 2. Received seven (7) applicants for the two (2) open career FF positions. Five (5) are moving forward to take their physical abilities tests and written test on March 21, 2023. 3. Three (3) probationary lieutenants passed their probation. NEW FIRE STATION UPDATE: 4. The plan for the new City of Oak Harbor Fire station is continuing to move forward. 5. New Firetrucks will take two (2) years to build. Commissioner: • Nothing to report or discuss.
