Ms. Miller provided a brief overview of an application submitted for the property located
at 610 SE 9th Avenue. The applicant proposed a 4' black aluminum fencing around the
north, east and south property lines. A 5' black aluminum fencing around existing pool,
and a 6' privacy fencing on the west property line. The request also includes the
installation of a 4 x 10' shed in the rear yard.
Mr. Smith asked if there was any historic significance on the existing wall. Ms. Miller
said she did not have information on the wall.

Donald Huber, 610 SE 9th Avenue, Ocala, FL, provided information on the section of
the wall being replaced by a wood privacy fence.
Ms. Cosand asked if the shed was visible from 9th Avenue. Mr. Huber replied it would
be partially visible.
Ms. Ausley asked if there was 3 types of fencing on the property. Mr. Huber responded
yes.
Ms. Cosand asked if the shed could be hidden in a better place.
Mr. Smith said the manufactured shed did not have similar features to the house. Mr.
Huber said that type of shed was the best he could find.
Mr. Drake suggested the panels on the shed be switched to look like the panels on the
house.
Mr. Huber described the area where the shed would be placed.
Ms. Ausley was concerned about the three different types of fencing material.
There was a short Conversation about the fencing on the property.
Mr. Drake suggested a screen wall on the two front concrete pillars.
Motion to approve COA23-45396, 94-82 for the fencing and table the shed for the next
meeting.

Ms. Cosand inquired about the house on 716 SE Wenona Avenue. Ms. Miller said there was
currently a open code case for something else.
Ms. Cosand said the house on 5th and 11th has a new owner, and they have erected a large
hitching post.
Ms. Miller said calling Code Enforcement at 352-629-8309 or an email to her would help the
process.
Mr. McCullough said 714 or 716 NE 2nd Street has issues with the setbacks and Code
Enforcement has placed a sign in front of the house. Ms. Miller said the deck was completed
before getting the building permit.
Ms. Cosand said there was a single a house on 6th Street that was converted into three Airbnb's.
Ms. Miller said the house was under one meter and Airbnb's cannot be regulated. Multiple
meters would trigger Code Enforcement involvement.
Ms. Ausley asked if corner lots can have the fencing up to the front, and interior lots can not
have fencing past the facade. Ms. Miller said that was correct.
Mr. Smith passed out handouts of the window workshop, and solar panels in the historic
districts.
Ms. Miller said the meeting on February 1st will be moved to the 8th of February from 4-5 pm.
Ms. Ausley asked about the elections. Ms. Miller said the elections were in March.
Mr. Richard asked about locating maps for the City of Ocala. Ms. Miller replied she had some
maps scanned in her system.

Ms Cosand said Moorehead Engineering would have the old maps.
Mr. Hugli said Mr. Blanchert would have maps.
