Promote Development of the Olympia Resort Area BACKGROUND The intent of the Committee-of-the-Whole closed session is to finalize the process, timeline, and approve an Award of Damages to be served. Process to Date: Feb 2nd : COW Mtg – closed session – share timeline, process & potential offer amount Feb 2nd: City Council – formally approved Jurisdictional Offer (JO) to be issued in amount of $2,600,000 & adopted Resolution authorizing CDA to proceed to jointly approve JO February 8th: CDA met to approve JO February 10th: Jurisdictional Offer City must wait 30 days for response to JO March 16th: City Council formally approves Award of Damages (if Park Studios LLC have not accepted JO) - Adopt Resolution authorizing CDA to proceed to jointly approve Award of Damages March 18th: CDA to meet to approve Award of Damages RECOMMENDATION Attorney Riffle will advise COW members on dialogue with Park Studios LLC estate representatives to date, as well as his expertise related to the steps being taken for the condemnation processes. 1 2 SUGGESTED ACTION Direction for City Attorney & Staff to proceed in issuing an Award of Damages in the amount of $2,600,000 for the Park Studios LLC, 1375 Royale Mile Rd aka: parcel # OCOC0614984033 2 3
