In attendance: Councilman James Chapman, Councilman Jonathan Ray,
Councilman Matthew Tortorice, and Mayor Jeffrey Wilson
Absent: Mayor Pro-Tem Daryl McIntyre and Councilman Darius Crump

Mayor Wilson called Meeting to order
Discussion
Councilman Matthew Tortorice made a Motion to go in Executive Session
for 15 mins. with the Police Chief position as the topic. Councilman James
Chapman seconded the Motion. Motion passed unanimously. Executive
Session started at 6:03 PM. Council returned back into session at 6:18 PM.
Councilman Jonathan Ray made the Motion to transfer Interim Chief Jim
Thompson from interim to Police Chief at $51,000.00 a year with option of
family or single coverage. The following conditions: 6 months probationary
period, must complete certification for police chief, must be a working chief
of police, and must have 1 officer educated in Mental Health Education.
Motion was seconded by Councilman James Chapman. Roll call vote:
Councilman James Chapman -YES
Councilman Jonathan Ray- YES
Councilman Matthew Tortorice – YES
Mayor Jeffrey Wilson – YES
David Parrish informed the Council that Margaret Elementary needs a lift
station for the sewer, the lift station will cost $7730.00. Councilman Matthew
Tortorice made the Motion to spend up to $12,000 to purchase new lift
station pump and refurbished the damage one to be taken out of the sewer
funds. Councilman Jonathan Ray seconded the Motion. Motion passed
unanimously.
Mayor Jeffrey Wilson informed the Council of a Scout Eagle project at
Wilson Park.
Mayor Jeffrey Wilson informed the Council of a community garden across
from the school.
Councilman Matthew Tortorice made a Motion to partner with the City of
Argo on their ATRIP Grant Project with the City of Margaret not donating
over $40,000, along with the matching money from the County. Councilman
James Chapman seconded the Motion. The Motion passed unanimously.
Councilman James Chapman made a Motion to spend $1000.00 for mulch
for the school. Councilman Matthew Tortorice seconded the Motion. Motion
passed unanimously.
Councilman Matthew Tortorice would like to require stainless hardware for
cut on/ cut off valves for waste water system.
Daniel Carr asked the Council about subdivision road requirements.
Councilman James Chapman made the Motion to adjourn. Councilman
Jonathan seconded the Motion.
Meeting adjourned at 6:30 PM.
