City of Odessa Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes - October 19, 2023 Submitted by Ruth Beamer, Secretary The City of Odessa Planning and Zoning Commission met in regular session at 7:00 p.m., October 19, 2023 at the Odessa Community Building. Present were Matt Modlin, co-chair, Ruth Beamer, secretary, and Bill Hunt, Vicki Pavlowsky, and Jo Ann Quigley, commissioners. Marty McDermed, chair, and Mary Bertram, commissioner, were absent. Also present were Christi Dickey, administrative Coordinator, Odessa Community Planning, and Brenda Oliver, Heritage Realty. Roll Call: Modlin called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. with roll call (see above for those present). MINUTES: On motion by Pavlowsky, seconded by Quigley, minutes of June 15, 2023 were approved unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENT on AGENDA ITEMS: Oliver spoke briefly to inform the commission that the lot split request was to facilitate a plan by a local church to construct a new building on the site. BOARD and STAFF COMMUNICATIONS: None REQUEST FOR ITEMS TO BE PLACED ON THE AGENDA: None OLD BUSINESS: None NEW BUSINESS: A request by Brent and Beth Dowell for a lot split of property located at the corner of US 40 Highway and Johnson Dr. was, on motion by Quigley, seconded by Pavowsky, approved unanimously.
