General Code Review Committee Meeting Minutes Tuesday March 25, 2025, 7pm Town Hall, Ogden Dunes Member Present Member Present Jim Slawinski, Chair, 2026 X Mimi Ramos, 2027 X David Hollar, Sec, 2025 X Bob Schwartz, 2026 Eric Fried, Co-Chair, 2027 X Doug Cannon, TC Member X Mike Shaefer, 2025 Richard Hassan, 2026 X Meeting called to order – 704 pm Approval of Minutes of the Monday Sept , 2025 meeting – By unanimous consent Old Business : Prior Ordinance Recommendations: Private property, trespass ordinance, and change to permissible period for election signs are in front of Town Council. Other recommendations from last meeting also remain before Town Council. 2025 Summer (Ordinance) Preparation Letter: Discussion letter should include rules on parking, dogs on the beach, walking against traffic, items left on the beach, watercraft stickers, and golf cart inspection. Speed Limits (Shore Drive): INDOT believes stop signs would not actually slow people down. Removable speed bumps (installed for beach season) may be more effective. Could also get a second electronic sign to place on Hillcrest or Diana. Additional discussion about speed issues in other parts of town (sand track, Hillcrest & Diana intersection). New Business Membership: One member may need to leave the committee, in which case there may be a need to think about a replacement. Town Council Meetings: General Code Review members may wish to consider attending. North Shore Drive Residents Beach Access: Discussion held. Generally, not in favor.
