General Code Review Committee Meeting Minutes Tuesday May 27, 2025, 7pm Town Hall, Ogden Dunes Member Present Member Present Jim Slawinski, Chair, 2026 X Mimi Ramos, 2027 David Hollar, Sec, 2025 X Bob Schwartz, 2026 Eric Fried, Co-Chair, 2027 Doug Cannon, TC Member X Mike Shaefer, 2025 X Richard Hassan, 2026 X Meeting called to order – 703 pm Approval of Minutes of the Tuesday March 25, 2025 meeting – By unanimous consent Old Business : Prior Ordinance Recommendations: Ordinances on (1) private property, (2) trespass, and (3) change to permissible period for election signs are in front of Town Council. Recommendations on committees are also before the Town Council. Bullet list has been sent out in preparation for summer. Membership: Likely to remain same for now. Town Council Meetings: Continue to recommend GRC members come to Town Council meetings. Shore Drive Speed: Town elected to install seasonal speed bumps on Shore Drive during the beach season. New Business Traffic Concerns: (1) Awkward intersection at Hillcrest & Diana where the mailboxes are. Discussion of possibly putting in a 4 way stop sign, paint striping, or adding a one-way sign. Recommendation is to stripe it. (2) Blind curve at the intersection of Skyline and East Hill. Discussion on putting in paint striping or yellow “curve ahead” signs. Peddler Ordinance: Covered by 111.07 & Ordinance 827. Some discussion of these ordinances as well as discussion of food trucks. GRC does not recommend specific changes, but the Town may wish to remind residents of their right to post No Solicitation signs. Relocation of Speed Sign: Sign was moved to Diana by the tennis courts. Buying new sign to put back at Kratz. Junk Motor Vehicle Ordinance: Covered by 90.01-90.06. Cars with expired plates are junk vehicles. Adjourn – Meeting adjourned at 754 pm. Next meeting - July 22 @ 7 pm @ Town Hall 1
