Ogden Dunes Water Board Meeting Minutes Tuesday, February 11th at 4:30 PM Location: Town Hall Present: Jim Slawinski (JS) Tom Cleland (TC) Leslie Tyburski (LT) Dave Snyder (DS) via Zoom Mike Lanovich (ML) & Julia Klingensmith (JK) • The February 2025 Water Board Meeting started @ 4:30 PM with JS taking minutes. • The January 2025 Water Board Meeting Minutes were unanimously approved by the Water Board Directors. • JK gave an update on the 2025 YTD Water Department Fund Report. The Water Board Directors voted to move $20K from the Operating Fund to the Capital Fund as well as increase the percentage of future water revenue going into the Capital Fund from 20% to 25%. • JK gave an update on the 4th quarter water/sanitation billing with about 50 delinquent letters mailed out on Monday. • JK commented that a partial bill has been sent to General Contractor Pete Beechen involving the meter work at 58 Diana. TC suggested we give Mr. Beechen another week to respond • JK mentioned that the recent USIC Billing has been accurate as far as what is being charged to The Town of Ogden Dunes. • The group reviewed the recent OD Water Department / IDEM Inspection visit and findings as well as any required follow-up action. There were only a few minor issues that were reported. • The group discussed the M.E. Simpson Quote involving Gate Valve and Meter Pit GPS as well as Hydrant Water Flow. ML commented on what is currently available to the OD Fire Department as far as Hydrant Location at which time the group decided not to pursue Hydrant Location in the overall project. TC will contact M.E. Simpson to get some additional information involving gate valve locations. • JS commented on a recent post he made to OD Residents on Facebook, the OD Web Page as well as an e-mail blast involving small water leaks usually associated with toilet bowl stoppers. • LT and ML will work together on installing some additional outdoor lighting on the Pump House  • JS and ML commented on the recent Pelican System alarms involving multiple booster pumps running at any given time. The issue was with lower water pressure from Indiana American Water during a short period of time. • JS and ML commented on the cross-training currently taking place involving both the full- time and part-time Street/Water Department Employees. • The group did a quick review of the Water Department Master Plan • ML commented that during the recent cold spell there were at least six instances of frozen water meters. The Water Department recently purchased and received six Styrofoam Water Meter Jackets that will be installed as a trial on some of the problem meter locations. • TC gave an update on the Pump House Building Sign • TC will follow up with what, if anything still needs to be done with the Backup Generator/ Pelican System Alarm • JS commented that there has finally been some progress involving Zenner OD Resident Software even though there is still more work to be done.
