July 19) • Lon mentiOned that the Go' has a new editor at the Standard Exammer The website 1s updated w1th local mformat10n and looks better The Go' S1te will be published on Thursdays so that readers can see events ahead of time before the weekend • Members would hke an updated status of the Nme Rails S1te • Per Scott he wants to know 1fpast blogs can be used 1fthey are relevant • Lon will send out remmder emails each week for blog posts • Damelle will help w1th ed1ts on the blog as mentiOned m a previous meetmg • Subcommittee s1gn-ups- Lon • A s1gn-up sheet was passed around agam for those who missed the last meetmg or email about the sub-committee mformat10n • Library Committee was clanfied as the Literary Committee by Lon about poetry • Public Art- InformatiOn Statements- needs to choose optiOns to move forward w1th • Sub-committee needs to meet to decide on some Ideas presented (ex p1ece of art for Chnstmas village and somethmg for the entrance of Monarch/ Creative D1stnct) • There IS $300k money freed up for use now • 81ke Homecommg- Lon It IS the F1rst Fnday of September when we have the Art Stroll The b1ke nde 1s free but the dance has a charge of $1 0-15 Don't forget to dress up • Mayor Awards m the Arts - Lon • We need nommat1ons m by August 24th and the event 1s Nov I • So far there are SIX admissions and we need more • A suggestiOn made was to pull names from pnor years' nommatwns • Eccles I 25th CelebratiOn - Lon • August 25 1h Saturday from 1 - 7 p m • There w11l be a VIP tent that will have a hst the arts council's names so they can enter • Committee News and upcommg events • Scott- The Argo House wiiiJom September's Art Stroll The Monarch has a mural that starts on August 21 and will go through the begmnmg of October, the artist 1s Jane K1m Office EvolutiOn will possibly open m October The Argo House IS lookmg for flat work p1eces to hang • Cam- Nothmg at th1s tune to report • Mzchael- Their first concert IS September 29 the Beethoven 91h Symphony The Arts Advisory committee each have two t1ckets wa1tmg for them at will-call They will also perform at the !25th Eccles CelebratiOn at 3 45 p m  • Susan- She 1s helpmg the Next Ensemble as Asst Director They have the Soldiers Tale commg up and will be performmg at the Eccles celebration and at the OSBA gala She satd Alleged IS hopmg to do an underground senes m January • Debra- On August 24, there ts event at the Eccles House, Art m Bloom w1th 22 floral designers There IS a reception from 5-8 p m wtth a $10 donation The arrangements will be displayed at the 125th Celebration, wh1ch IS on the 25th from 1- 7 p m Food trucks, tours of the house and entertamment w1ll be provided • Jess- Ogden Farmers Market has hve music happenmg w1th a Manachi Band from SLC commg on September 1 Harvest Moon IS September 22, then the Fall Farmer's Market starts on September 29 at the Ogden Amphitheater and endmg on October 27 w1th W1tchstock The Beer Fest1val1s also commg up and they are havmg different breweries create a new brew for the event wh1ch w1ll be held at the Umon Statton • Russ - Ogden OnCon has b1g announcements commg up about guests for next year There wtll be a pop-up ofR1pley's Beheve It or Not with Sky Walker, Star Wars and others • DeJa- Th1s weekend IS the Ogden Valley Balloon Festival and her group wtll perform on Saturday at 7 30 p m They will also perform at the Eccles 125 1h and have a workshop ava1lable • Jake- Art m ActiOn has a team of about five people mvolved now On October 18th they are hopmg to have a panel at the hbrary to help create more mformat10n about soctal JUStice and equahty for mus1c, theater and other social Issues The event w1ll be from 6 -
