Zoom Meeting Welcome and Call to Order – Camille Washington, Chair • Approval of March Minutes • Motion to approve – Todd Oberndorfer • 2nd motion – Stephanie Howerton • All voting aye. • FY 2025 Arts Grants Update – Lorie Buckley • Arts Grants transmittal has been submitted to City Directors. • Recommendations expected to be presented in City Council Work Session on May 21, 2024. o Provided an overview of City Council presentation. • Reviewed grant cycle timeline, including payment process and schedule. • Marshall White Center Public Art Update – Lorie Buckley • Recapped Subcommittee’s process to date and project timeline. • Artist selection process is still underway. o Next Subcommittee meeting anticipated for the week of April 15 or April 22. • Several members of OCAAC volunteered to serve on the Public Art Subcommittee to support this project through the selection process.  • Poet Laureate Term Renewal – Lorie Buckley and Jan Hamer • Current Ogden City Poet Laureate Angelika Brewer confirmed interest to serve a second term. o Motion to approve Angelika Brewer for a second term as Ogden City Poet Laureate - Jan Hamer o 2nd motion – Shane Osguthorpe and Cam McLeod o All voting aye. • Discussed Brewer’s pop-up event during the April 2024 First Friday Arts Stroll. o Considered opportunities to expand Brewer’s Ar(t)chives Mailbox initiative to other venues throughout the city, as well as display submissions. • Sub-Committees: • Executive – Camille Washington o Arts Master Plan Discussion – Arts Summit  Reviewed the City’s past professional development initiatives for artists.  Considered reinstating professional development programming and networking opportunities in the form of an Arts Summit to achieve objectives within the Arts and Culture Master Plan. • Explored leadership, objectives, goals, frequency, partnerships, and funding opportunities for such programming. • Shared similar initiatives occurring throughout Utah. • Ogden CAN – Camille Washington o Recapped Matthew S. Browning Center for Design presentation held during last Ogden CAN meeting. • Nine Rails Creative District – Leon Araujo o Next meeting scheduled for April 17 at 8:30am.  Anticipate reviewing the Nine Rails Master Plan. • Arts Grants – Shane Osguthorpe o Forthcoming application review to restructure diversity, equity, and inclusion questions. • Public Art – Jake McIntire o Recapped Marshall White Center Public Art Subcommittee process and forthcoming objectives. • Committee Member Updates • Members provided updates on forthcoming creative happenings. • Public Questions & Attendance • Attendance: Reide Thompson, Ogden Downtown Alliance Adjourn There being no further business to come before the Committee, Committee member Cam McLeod moved the meeting adjourn. Motion was seconded by Committee member Shane Osguthorpe, all voting aye.
