In-person and Zoom Meeting Welcome and Call to Order – Deann Armes, Chair • New Member Welcome • Recognized service of past Chair, incoming Vice Chair, and new members. • Approval of June Minutes • Motion to approve – Camille Washington • 2nd motion – Stephanie Howerton • Guest Presentation | Excellence Concert Series – Jeff Whiteley • Provided overview of programming. • Explored opportunities to engage further with OCAAC. • FY 2025 Arts Grants Update – Lorie Buckley • Contract revisions approved and updated transmittal submitted. • July 16th – City Council Work Session presentation • August 6th – City Council Public Session presentation • Marshall White Center Public Art Update – Lorie Buckley • July 18-22 | Artists visit Ogden for public engagement and research. o Various meetings and public engagement sessions are actively being scheduled. • Utility Box Art Call Update – Lorie Buckley • Anticipate releasing the artist call when graphic printing bids are received.  • Discussed utility box locations and artist selection process. • 2024 Mayor’s Awards in the Arts – Lorie Buckley • Nominations are live and close August 2. • Reviewed awards and evening schedule of events. • Ogden City General Plan Committee Update – Deann Armes • Last week, community event pizza party was held. • Discussed importance of the creative community’s voice in these conversations. • Sub-Committees: • Executive – Deann Armes o Brainstormed FY 2025 OCAAC focus. • Ogden CAN – Camille Washington o Exploring seat rotation for OCAAC representation on this board. o Discussed opportunity for arts engagement and funding within Ogden CAN. • Nine Rails Creative District – Leon Araujo o Reviewed plan, quantity, and process related to Nine Rails boundary sticker project. o July 19th at 12pm | Brown Bag Lunch Brigade at Dumke Arts Plaza • Literary – Jan Hamer o Need for additional Subcommittee members. • Arts Grants – Shane Osguthorpe o Invitation for additional Subcommittee members. o Steering Committee will be assembled in the weeks ahead to support the economic impact study funded by an EDA grant. • Public Art – Jake McIntire o Shared public art initiatives occurring in other Utah cities that could be replicated in Ogden. o Interest to reinvestigate percentage for art program in CIP projects.  Conveyed Salt Lake City’s strategy.  A meeting will be arranged with City leadership to reassess this opportunity. • Committee Member Updates • Committee members provided update on forthcoming creative entrepreneur programs and job opportunities. • Public Questions & Attendance • Attendance: Jeff Whiteley, Andrew Cohen Adjourn There being no further business to come before the Committee, Committee member Shane Osguthorpe moved the meeting adjourn.
