1. CALL TO ORDER
Commissioner Williams called the meeting to order at 6:12 p.m.

Present: 5 - Commissioner Jim Burlingame, Commissioner Kathryn Dorgan,
Commissioner Stacy Hicks, Commissioner Kathy Murray and
Commissioner Katherine Williams
Absent: 3 - Chair Timothy Grisham, Vice Chair Frederick Dobler and
Commissioner Rose Clifthorne

The agenda was approved.

20-0609 Approval of July 9, 2020 Arts Commission Meeting Minutes
The minutes were approved.
4. PUBLIC COMMENT - None
5. ANNOUNCEMENTS
Commissioner Williams announced her resignation due to her graduate school schedule.
Her last meeting is in September. Commissioners shared information about past and
upcoming arts events.
6. BUSINESS ITEMS
20-0610 Public Art Assessment
The following condition report binders were reserved by Commissioners for pick-up at
City Hall: Commissioner Burlingame | Eastside, Commissioner Dorgan | Southeast,

Commissioner Murray | Downtown. Binders are to be returned by the September 10
meeting.
The discussion was completed.
7. REPORTS
20-0606 Policy and Program Recommendations to City Council
Commissioners Dorgan, Murray and Williams reported out from their 5:00 p.m. work
group that they have a draft Artist in Residency policy to share with the Commission at
the September 10 meeting.
The report was received.
20-0608 Arts Program Support
Ms. Johnson noted pop-up performances were suspended due to COVID-19
restrictions.Commissioner Burlingame asked if funds could be used to support the
Positive Notes campaign.
The report was received.
20-0607 ArCH Support
No report.
