1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Burlingame called the meeting to order at 4:05 p.m.

Present: 7 - Chair Jim Burlingame, Vice Chair Kathryn Dorgan, Commissioner
Joe Batt, Commissioner Rose Clifthorne, Commissioner Kathy
Murray, Commissioner Christie Tran and Commissioner Hathor

Absent: 2 - Commissioner Shameka Gagnier and Commissioner Jace Hoag
2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
The agenda was approved.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

The minutes were approved.
4. PUBLIC COMMENT
Emiliano Monchilov and Shane Donaldson introduced themselves as students in the MIT
Program at The Evergreen State College.
5. ANNOUNCEMENTS
Commissioners shared information about past and upcoming arts events. In addition,
Ms. Johnson noted Commissioner Gagnier has stepped down effective immediately due
to an increasing workload. Commissioner Murray shared they have applied to jobs out of
state and will also step down at the end of their term.

Board and Commission Purpose Statements
2022 OAC Work Plan
Commissioners toured the Armory building with Arts Program Specialist Angel Nava.
They discussed the Arts Commission purpose statement, and developed a baseline draft
for further review. Commissioners took a look at the Grants to Arts and Culture review
materials and directed staff to provide redacted applications. They also reviewed the
current Work Plan, and were provided Work Plan samples from other City Boards and
Commissions to review for possible change of format.
The discussion was completed.
