ROLL CALL Present: 6 - Mayor Dontae Payne, Mayor Pro Tem Yến Huỳnh, Councilmember Jim Cooper, Councilmember Clark Gilman, Councilmember Dani Madrone and Councilmember Lisa Parshley 2. BUSINESS ITEM 2.A 24-0015 Meeting with 22nd District Legislative Delegation Mayor Payne opened the meeting and thanked the 22nd District Legislators for taking time out of their busy schedules to meet with the Council. Senator Hunt, Representative Doglio, and Representative Bateman shared their overview of the year's upcoming legislative session. Mayor Payne discussed the City's 2024 legislative agenda which supports solutions to critical issues for residents of Olympia and beyond. Councilmembers and staff discussed the City's legislative priorities, which are as follows: Revision related to the arbitrary property tax cap. Address regressive revenue options. Address issues of financial stability. Resources to address homelessness. Resources to support affordable housing. Further legislative action related to climate change and statewide climate justice initiatives. Expand mental health and behavioral health resources. Further support related to public safety reforms. Further legislative action to reduce gun violence. Further support related to healthcare protections. Legislators asked clarifying questions and discussed the issues. The discussion was completed. 3.
