The meeting was called to order at 5:31 p.m.

member Cheryl Selby

The agenda was approved.

5.A 22-0711 Approval of June 22, 2022 Community Livability and Public Safety
Committee Meeting Minutes
The minutes were approved.
6. COMMITTEE BUSINESS
6.A 22-0701 Recommendation of Call for Art for Artist in Residence Program
Arts Program Manager Stephanie Johnson and Arts Commission Vice Chair Kathy
Dorgon discussed the Artist in Residence pilot program.
Committee member Selby moved, seconded by Committee member Huỳnh, to
forward the recommendation for the draft Call for Artist in Residence to the
City Council for consideration. The motion carried by the following vote:
Aye: 3 - Chair Payne, Committee member Huỳnh and Committee member

6.B 22-0702 Recommendation to Form an Inspire Olympia Ad Hoc Committee

Safety Committee
Senior Planner Marygrace Goddu shared an overview of a recommendation regarding
the formation of an Ad Hoc Committee for Inspire Olympia program planning in 2022.
Committee members asked clarifying questions.
Committee member Selby moved, seconded by Committee member Huỳnh,to
forward a recommendation for the formation of an Ad Hoc Advisory
Committee for the Inspire Olympia program to the City Council for
consideration.. The motion carried by the following vote:
Aye: 3 - Chair Payne, Committee member Huỳnh and Committee member
Selby
6.C 22-0699 Recommendation of Inspire Olympia 2022 Budget and Staffing
Ms. Goddu discussed a recommendation to allocate funding and to authorize one staff
position for the Inspire Olympia program in 2022.
Committee Members asked clarifying questions.
Chair Payne moved, seconded by Committee member Selby, to forward a
recommendation for the formation of an Ad Hoc Advisory Committee for the
Inspire Olympia program to the full City Council for consideration. The motion
carried by the following vote:
Aye: 3 - Chair Payne, Committee member Huỳnh and Committee member
Selby
6.D 22-0712 Reimagining Public Safety Process Update
Strategic Planning and Performance Manager Stacey Ray provided an update on the
Reimagining Public Safety process.
Committee members asked clarifying questions.
The discussion was completed.
