COMMITTEE BUSINESS 6.A 24-0547 Economic Development Update City of Olympia Economic Development Director Mike Reid, Valeo Vocation Social Enterprise Director Shannon Glenn and Thurston Chamber of Commerce Olympia Career Hub Project Manager Micah Pong provided economic development update. The Committee asked clarifying questions. The discussion was completed. 6.B 24-0545 Experiences of Discrimination in Olympia Report Briefing City of Olympia Social Justice and Equity Program Manager Tobi Hill-Meyer, Truclusion Managing Principal Yien Wang Folino, Senior Manager Dane Wolfrom, City of Olympia Page 1 Community Livability and Public Meeting Minutes June 26, 2024 Safety Committee Principal Researcher, Dr. Ashley Gardner, and Subject Matter Experts Marv Jones, Lorena Najarro and Rachel Wallis presented a briefing on the Experiences of Discrimination in Olympia report. The Committee asked clarifying questions. The discussion was completed. 6.C 24-0512 Olympia Police Department Outreach Services Briefing Olympia Police Department Deputy Chief Shelby Parker and Outreach Services Coordinator Ren Emerson provided a briefing on the Olympia Police Department's outreach services. The Committee asked clarifying questions. The information was received. 6.D 24-0540 Olympia Sister City Program Update City of Olympia Assistant to the City Manager Susan Grisham and Olympia Kato Sister City Association President Timothy Grisham provided an update on the Olympia Sister City Program. The Committee discussed the program, asked clarifying questions and provided itinerary suggestions for the upcoming visit of the Mayor of Kato, Japan. The report was received. 7.
