CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. 1.A ROLL CALL Present: 7 - Chair Maria Ruth, Committee member Barbara Benson, Committee member Candace Jacobs, Committee member Rhianna Hruska, Committee member Kim Murillo, Committee member Brock Milliern and Committee member Rhonda Olnick Excused: 2 - Vice Chair Joshua Clark and Committee member Kyle Guzlas 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA The agenda was approved. 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 3.A 19-0264 Approval of Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee February 21, 2018 Meeting Minutes The minutes were approved. 4. PUBLIC COMMENT Linda and James Reddick spoke. 5. ANNOUNCEMENTS --Online surveys are currently open to gather feedback on the mountain bike park and off-leash dog parks. --Arbor Day stewardship event will be held on Saturday, April 20 at Percival Landing from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. 6. BUSINESS ITEMS 6.A 19-0261 Habitat Working Group Update Parks Stewardship Program Aide Charles Rambo and Public Works Environmental City of Olympia Page 1 Parks and Recreation Advisory Meeting Minutes March 21, 2019 Committee Services Program Specialist Kate Hartman gave an update on the Habitat Working Group, which is a partnership between Public Works and Parks. They shared recent accomplishments and work completed at Mission Creek and Grass Lake Nature Parks. The information was provided. 6.B 19-0262 2018 Annual Performance Report Parks, Arts and Recreation Director Paul Simmons distributed the Department's 2018 Performance Report and highlighted key metrics and accomplishments. The report was received. 6.C 19-0263 Appoint one Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee (PRAC) member to the Olympia Metropolitan Park District Advisory Board Rhianna Hruska will fill the open position for the Olympia Metropolitan Park District Advisory Committee. 7. REPORTS - None 8. QUESTIONS OF STAFF AND FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS The next meeting agenda includes: Park Surveys, Downtown Park Analysis, and Bike Park Survey Results. 9.
