1. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.

Present: 6 - Chair Alexandrea Safiq, Committee member Brent Barnes, Committee
member Daniel Farber, Committee member Jamie Gerken, Committee
member Caroline Mellor and Committee member Jeff Prevost
Absent: 1 - Committee member Kyle Guzlas

The agenda was unanimously approved.

The minutes were unanimously approved.

6.B 23-0909 Parks Maintenance Update 2023
Parks Operation and Maintenance Manager Charles Rambo presented on Parks
Maintenance Update for 2023.
The report was received.
6.A 23-0914 Thurston Regional Trails Plan Update
Thurston Regional Planning Council (TRPC) Senior Planner Paul Brewster presented on
the Thurston Regional Trails Plan Update. Committee members provided ideas to TRPC
staff.

The discussion was completed.
7. REPORTS
The OMPD Advisory Committee reviewed the 2024 budget. They sent a letter to City
Council saying the budget was in compliance and that a rate increase may be needed in
the future.
8. FOLLOW-UP ON PRAC MOTIONS, QUESTIONS AND FUTURE AGENDA
ITEMS
Engineering and Planning Supervisor Laura Keehan had four items to discuss.
Committee Chair Safiq wrote a letter to City Council and the Planning Commission. Next
PRAC meeting is in January, 2024. Please contact staff regarding the draft work plan
review if there are items to add. Applications for PRAC membership will be reviewed in
January.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:51 p.m.

4. PUBLIC COMMENT

Commission to maintain impartiality and the appearance of fairness in upcoming matters and to comply
with the Public Disclosure Law for political campaigns, speakers will not be permitted to make public

Committee or Commission either held a Public Hearing in the last 45 days, or will hold a Public Hearing
