Pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 19.84, notice is hereby given to the public by the Village President, that the following
meeting will be held:

MEETING MINUTES
Ad Hoc Public Arts Committee Meeting Minutes 11/15/2023
Roll call present: Randy, Jason, Michele, Doris and Marilea
Old minutes approved.
New Business
1) Lincoln has officially resigned.
2) Suggestions were made for new members. John Bieno, Molean, and Petrie. More follow-
through is needed.
3) Discussed tent rental expansion into street. Allowing more level ground area for artists and
spectators. (possibly street and parking area behind firefly) Cost check being done for tent rental
with possibility of sponsorship.
4) Randy in discussion with Rob Ingl about creating interactive sculptures. Marilea and Doris will
brainstorm ideas for the next meeting.
5) A Kiser bathroom mural was projected to cost $2000.00. This piece created by Desera will need
final approval by her with color choice or changes.
6) Potential sponsors and doners were discussed.
a) Clementines, Wine Reserve, Rejuvenation, Tattoo business, Panther Exteriors.
b) Discussed continued support from those supporters of the first Art Fair. Culvers, Firefly,
Hy-Vee, Supreme Structures, to name a few.
7) Application changes will be addressed by Michelle and Randy as this was Lincolns former task.
Jason offered his help with forms and any other needs. Discussed having an application online.
8) Possible donation from Madison Community Foundation $995,00.

9) Continued discussion for reaching out to Artist to widen our scope for the Pure integrity homes
building. Suggestions made were Facebook, posting in the village notes, 14 South, distribute
flyers, connect with the new Tattoo business. Also getting Dan Bertleson involved in the process
along with sponsorship.
10) Doris suggested having more organized plans when moving forward with projects and creating
more inclusion with a variety of local artists and their talents.
Future Business
• Michelle reaching out for tent rental pricing.
• Reaching out to John Bean and Dan Burkler for joining committee.
• Marilea and Doris ideas for interactive art sculptures to possibly be created by sculpture
artist Rob Igl.
• Looking at new sculptures in Jan/2024.
