Oroville Planning Commission Wednesday, July 20, 2016 The meeting was called to order at 4:40 by Chairman Luis Perez. Present: Commissioners: Chairman Luis Perez, Arnie Marchand and Valorie Johnston; Absent: Marc Egerton, Judy Dunston, and Suzi Seger. Staff present: Chris Branch and Deanna Rowton Approval of the minutes for the May 18 meeting: Motion to approve as written by Arnie, seconded by Valorie and the motion passed. There was much discussion about Oroville’s economy and businesses, about tourism and product development, and about our local trail system. The subject of fencing inside city limits was discussed. It was agreed that an “item 3” should be added under exceptions to fences regarding height requirements. If there is a pre-existing, non- conforming situation, it should be grandfathered in. Chris had members look at the County Comprehensive Plan and stated ways in which this plan effects our Comprehensive Plan for Oroville. He suggested we look at the plan map for Oroville and consider the county map’s influence on the local plan. The meeting was adjourned at 6:30 pm. 1
