Oroville Planning Commission Monday, May 15, 2017 The meeting was called to order at 4:37 by Chairman Luis Perez. Commissioners Present: Arnie Marchand, Suzie Seger, Valorie Johnston and Luis Perez; Absent: Judy Dunston, and alternate Marc Egerton Staff present: Deanna Rowton and Christian Johnson Arnie made a motion to approve the minutes for the April meeting. It was seconded by Suzie Seger and it passed. Copies of the draft copy of the Parks & Rec element of the Comprehensive Plan were handed out for review. Different sections of the Plan were discussed. Christian stated that he intended to change the maps to overhead Google Earth maps throughout. There was discussion about the following items as each section was looked over: *more fire pits at Deep Bay Park *the addition of restrooms at the Soccer Fields *Farmer’s Market is currently debating the possibility of moving to the City Park rather than Madeline Wells Park *PIRO Park – the need to check on ownership of the property *add the Log Cabin to the Museum information *add the Visitor Center as part of the Museum *the addition of restrooms at Bud Clark Field *change campsite information at Veterans Memorial Park *add rental houses, 1 vacation rental and 1 monthly rental, to Veteran’s Memorial Park *add the Oroville Historical Walk & identify all walking routes The meeting was adjourned at 5:26. The next meeting will be June 19th, 4:30 – 5:30. 1
