Commissioners Present: Judy Dunston, Suzie Seger, and Valorie Johnston
Absent: Luis Perez, Arnie Marchand and alternate Marc Egerton
Staff present: Deanna Rowton and Christian Johnson

Christian presented a copy of the current Comprehensive Plan Map. There was
discussion about the various areas and which areas may need to be updated/changed.
Some areas discussed were:
Osoyoos Lake Veteran’s Memorial Park and the need to be “tourist
recreational”
Entirety of Appleway changed to “industrial”
Where Oroville Building Supply is could possibly be changed to “heavy
commercial”
All of Zosel’s property should be “heavy industrial”
Center of town should be “commercial” –reflecting the Business district
The area of the sewage plant should be “conservancy”
South of town, rather than low density should possibly be “medium
density residential”
For consideration of the school area, a “public/institutional” area could
be formed, for the purpose of protecting public properties
To the North of town, keep the west side of Highway 97 as “commercial”
but change the east side to “residential”; Christian is going to look into
how the County has this in its’ Comp. Plan.
Include all of Reman and Reload as “heavy industrial”
Christian asked the members to review the map some more and look for additional
changes or errors and consider what has been discussed.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:34.
The next meeting will be September 18th, 4:30 – 5:30.
