PARK AND REC COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
Village Hall Board Room
Wednesday, May 28, 2025
6:30 pm
Call to Order: Tammie Smith at 6:30PM
Roll Call: Angela Petruska, Tammie Smith, Scott Deichel, Stephanie
Business
Agenda Item # 1 – Stephanie would like to hire one to two beach house attendants for the
weekends, they would also be responsible to keep the bathrooms clean and sell food and
beverages. There is a freezer that they could use for food.
Angela made a motion to spend up to $100.00 on a pizza oven as long as cleared with the fire
department and DPW for safety. Scott 2nd, all in favor, no nays. Swimmers would swim at their own
risk and signs would be posted.
Agenda Item # 2 – Stephanie would like to change party in the park to August 2 nd. Stephanie
reached out to the beautification project and is waiting on a call back to see if they are interested in
working with park and rec. Would like to have a smoke off that day along with other family activities.
Would like to have corn hole/bags tournament. Would be looking for donations on corn hole/bags.
Would have a couple of food trucks selling food only. Stephanie would like to sell beer/soda. Food
trucks would not charge to be there, food trucks would keep 100% profit. Sandwich Sisters would
be available and would look for another food truck. Stephanie will also be having a gun raffle
drawing that day. She will be purchasing five guns from Mountain Man Guns out of Cambridge, total
of $2500.00. She is trying to get a couple of Henry’s. Recommendation goal is to sell 400 tickets for
five guns at $20.00 per ticket. Stephanie was checking with Laurie to see if this needs to go to
board. If so, she will have Laurie add to the next board meeting. Follow up, didn’t have to go to
board money was included in budget. Scott made motion to buy five guns at $2500.00, Angela
second. Roll call Angela, Scott, Tammie, all in favor, no nays.
Agenda item # 3 – Adult Volleyball sign up is currently taking place from May 16th through June 22nd.
Start date would be on Wednesday, after July 4th and would end in September. Would be every
Wednesday evenings. Stephanie received phone call wanting adult volleyball for this year. She
said she has 3 teams that would be signing up, Stephanie is still waiting for their sign up. Stephanie
has another 2 teams that already signed up. Stephanie said she would need to purchase nets and
balls. Stephanie will wait to purchase the nets/balls until after sign-up since nets are in stock at
Coaches Locker in Delavan and if she orders balls from Amazon would receive in a couple of days.
Volleyball games will be self-officiated. Park and Rec will be getting a portion of the money from
the registrations. Stephanie is not sure if they will be giving the teams a portion of the money back
by points or wins.
Agenda item # 4 – Stephanie will be purchasing racquets and balls for Pickle Ball. Stephanie called
Coaches Locker. They have racquets for $25.30 each, good quality, hard to destroy and balls for
$2.25. Board already gave Stephanie permission last year to purchase, Stephanie will be using her
discretion to purchase the equipment.

This is the agenda for the 5/28/25 Recreation Committee meeting as of May 27, 2025
and is subject to modification prior to said meeting pursuant to the Wisconsin Open Meetings Law. For
additional information: Phone 262-495-8316. Members of the Village Board may attend the above-
noticed meeting in order to gather information about a subject over which they have decision-
making responsibilities. The only action to be taken at the above-mentioned meeting will be
action by the Recreation Committee. Please be advised that agenda items may be taken in an order
other that which appears here. It is possible that members of, and possibly a quorum of, other
governmental bodies of the Village may be in attendance at the above stated meeting to gather
information. No action will be taken by any governmental body at the above stated meeting other than
the governmental body specifically referred to in the above notice.
