Committee Member Mayor Gamble recognized Parkland County resident, Mr. Jack Lewis, who was inducted into the Alberta Agriculture Hall of Fame. DELEGATIONS App 23-010 Public Input - 9:05 a.m. (15 mins.) Committee Chairperson Birnie asked the gallery if there were any issues that the public wished to bring to the attention of Parkland County. Parkland County resident, Colleen Dak, attended to speak to her concerns regarding any changes to the County's Land Use Bylaw. Colleen also raised questions about why Alberta Health Services is required for applications through the website platform PLAN IT. Carla Wilchuk, attended to speak on behalf of the group that is organizing for Parkland County and the County of Lac Ste. Anne to address the respective municipalities regarding changes to their Land Use Bylaws. A motion was made by Committee Member Kowalski that Administration complete a review of Parkland County's procedures and practices to ensure that we are supporting valid transactions regarding property management and property changes by having proper identification on record and report back to the Governance and Priorities Committee in the fall of 2023. The motion carried unanimously. RFD 23-042 Council's Strategic Initiatives and Project Charters Proposed Motion That Council table this motion until the second Governance and Priorities Committee meeting of March 2023. Councillor Kowalski spoke to this item. A motion was made by Committee Member Kowalski that Council's Strategic Initiatives and Project Charters item be tabled until the second Governance and Priorities Committee meeting in March of 2023. The motion carried unanimously. CLOSED SESSION RFD 23-022 Closed Session Proposed Motion That the Committee convene in closed session pursuant to Section 197 of the Municipal Government Act to meet in private to discuss matters protected from disclosure by Sections 17 and 24 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
