CALL TO ORDER/TERRITORIAL LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Committee Chairperson Hoefsloot called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.
On behalf of the Committee, Chairperson Hoefsloot offered the following
Treaty 6 lands acknowledgement:
We acknowledge the homeland of the many diverse First Nations and Metis
people. Whose ancestors have walked this land since time immemorial. We
are grateful to work, live and learn on the traditional territory of Treaty 6.

Mayor Gamble, on behalf of Council, acknowledged the Deputy Mayor rotation.
Mayor Gamble offered a sincere thank you to former Deputy Mayor Wiedeman
for his service during his four month term and welcome Councillor Hoefsloot to
his term as Parkland County's Deputy Mayor.

Chairperson Hoefsloot recessed the meeting at 9:41 a.m., and reconvened the
meeting at 9:53 a.m. Councillor Kobasiuk was absent when the meeting
reconvened.
Councillor Kobasiuk returned to the meeting at 9:55 a.m.

Proposed Motion
That the Committee convene in closed session pursuant to Section 197 of the
Municipal Government Act to meet in private to discuss matters protected
from disclosure by Sections 17 and 24 of the Freedom of Information and
Protection of Privacy Act.
A motion was made by Committee Member Mayor Gamble that the Committee
