Recreation Commission Vittardi – Stated that it’s hard to estimate what the final expenses for electricity and gas will be since the rates and usage are currently unknown. Further stated that the estimate is on the higher end so hopefully they will not need to make further adjustments to the budget. Motion made by Councilwoman Casselberry seconded by Councilwoman Lime to Reconsider Ordinance No. 44-24. Motion carried. Stated that she would like to see a Resolution brought forth to make the flamingo the official city bird of Parma and would also like the name of the trail in the new retention basin area to be named Flamingo Trail. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS Mayor DeGeeter – Stated that he had a great day at the Polish Constitution Day festivities this past Sunday. Safety Director Coury – No comment. Service Director Vannello – No comment. Auditor Day – No comment. Law Director Tuma – Thanked Council for the support of Ordinance No. 72-24. Also thanked resident Heather Karr for attending the meeting in support of Resolution No. 73-24 in support of World Ovarian Cancer Day. Councilman Casselberry – Thanked everyone for their support and sympathy over the last week. Councilman Divis – Congratulated Councilwoman Lime on a successful Polish Constitution Day. Councilman Euerle – Thanked Service Director Vannello for the paving work being done. Announced that Cozumel on Snow Road has been awarded the Ward 9 Spotlight Award for May and encouraged everyone to visit. Councilman Kussmaul – Congratulated the Polish Village committee on a great job with this year’s Polish Constitution Day. Councilwoman Lime – Wished the Mayor and his wife a Happy 25th Anniversary. Thanked the Mayor, the Safety Department, and the Service Department for everything they did to help make the Polish Constitution Day parade and festival a success. Further stated that next year will be the 75th year for Polish Constitution Day. Thanked Council for their support of Resolution No. 42-24 and also thanked Heather Karr for attending the meeting in support of Resolution No. 73-24. Councilwoman Wilson – Stated that she has been walking her entire ward and thanked Building Commissioner Kulchytsky and Service Director Vannello for their help on resolving issues that were brought forth to her during her visits.
