Approval/corrections of Minutes of the Regular Meeting,December 6, 2022. 2. Approval of the claims docket for December 6, 2022 to January 3, 2023. 3. Order to set public hearing for January 17, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. to determine whether or not that certain parcel of real property owned by Dr. Catherine Stephens and Janet Stephens and located at 613 Excell Drive, Pearl, Rankin County, Mississippi 39208, is in such a condition or state as to be unsightly and unkept or otherwise a menace to the public health and safety of the community, and therefore, prohibited, pursuant to Chapter 24 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Pearl, Mississippi and Section 21-19-11 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as Amended. 8. Order to set public hearing for January 17, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. to determine whether or not that certain parcel of real property owned by Dr. Catherine Stephens and Janet Stephens and located at 619 Excell Drive, Pearl, Rankin County, Mississippi 39208, is in such a condition or state as to be unsightly and unkept or otherwise a menace to the public health and safety of the community, and therefore, prohibited, pursuant to Chapter 24 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Pearl, Mississippi and Section 21-19-11 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as Amended. 9. Order to set public hearing for February 7, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. to consider Amending the Zoning Ordinance. 10. Order to approve and authorize payment to Dickerson & Bowen for asphalt in the amount of $5,888.21. (quotes obtained) 11. Order to approve and authorize the replacement of Rear Brakes and Drums on Unit 11, Ladder Truck by Emergency Equipment Professionals in the amount of $5,296.26. 12. Emergency Purchase Contractual Service to repair the generator responsible backup power for the IT Building This repair is necessary, to keep the digital system and network online, in the event of power outage due to cold and inclement weather. Generator currently does not work. 13. Order to approve and authorize payment to Jefcoat Construction, LLC, in the amount of $16,792.50, for the Parks & Recreation Construction Project Phase II: City Park Improvements. The real property described as being located at 178 Becknell St., Pearl, MS, 39208, and owned by the City of Pearl has ceased to be used for municipal purposes and shall be deemed surplus real property. Further, it shall be resolved that the real property is no longer needed for municipal or related purposes and is not to be used in the operation of the municipality; that the sale of said property in the manner otherwise provided by law is not necessary or desirable for the financial welfare of the municipality; and that the use of such property for the purpose for which it is to be sold, conveyed or leased will promote and foster the development and improvement of the community in which it is located and the civic, social, educational, cultural, moral, economic or industrial welfare thereof; And to approve the Seller Representation Agreement and Acknowledgement of Disclosure and to authorize Mayor Windham to sign all related documents. 15. Order to approve the Standby Generator Industrial Maintenance Service Agreement Renewal by and between, the City of Pearl and Taylor Power Systems, and to authorize Mayor Windham to sign the same. (quotes obtained) 16. Order to approve and authorize the purchase of rolling jacks from Advance Auto Parts in the amount of $5,931.50. (quotes obtained) 17. Order to adopt a Resolution declaring (PD9) 2010 Dodge Charger (VIN:2B3AA4CV7AH120635) and (PD127) 2010 Dodge Charger (VIN:2B3AA4CV7AH120635) to be surplus property and to authorize the intergovernmental transfer of same to The Town of Edwards for use by the Police Department. 18. Order to adopt a Resolution finding that (PD20) Chevrolet Colorado, Silver (VIN 1GCHSCFP9B8113887), as surplus, and to approve the disposal and/or sale of as required by law. 19. Order to approve and authorize the police officers identified on the proposed part-time work schedule for January 2023 and February 2023, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, the use of the official Pearl Police Department uniform and official Pearl Police Department duty weapon and finding that the proposed employment is not likely to bring disrepute to the City of Pearl, or the Pearl Police Department, the officers at issue, or law enforcement generally, and that the use of the official uniform and weapon in the discharge of the officer’s private security endeavor promotes the public interest of the City of Pearl. 20. Emergency Medical Technician class at Holmes Community College for Amanda Thomasson 21. Request approval to purchase 9 sets of new turnout gear for firefighters. Each set includes one pant and one coat. Total $25,704.00 State Contract number is on the quote. 22. Approval of November Contractor’s Estimate #10 from Hemphill Construction Company for $208,428.96 on the Pearl-Richland Intermodal Connector project. 80% reimbursed by MDOT and 20% paid by Legislative funding. Wallace Construction on Pearl-Richland Intermodal Connector Project. 80% MDOT/20% Legislative Funding 24. Approval to purchase new sign for Station 4. Sign is a 5’ high lighted channel letter #4. 25. Order to set public hearing to consider a request by MS Developers LLC. to Rezone portions of Parcels G09G-17, G09G-17-10, G09H-23, G09H-23-10, G09H-30, and G09K-2 from R-E (Residential Estates) to R-1 (Single Family Residential.) 26. Order to adopt a Resolution finding that the concession stand at Shepherd Field and any and all outbuildings at Public Broadcasting located at 2422 Old Brandon Rd., is surplus, the fair market value of said property is zero, and to approve and authorize the demolition of said property appropriate and in the best interest of the City of Pearl as required by law.
