Order to approve and authorize payment to Clear River Construction Co., Inc., in the amount of $54,075.73, for the Parks & Recreation Construction Project Phase II: City Park Improvements. (Estimate #31) 9. Order to approve an RFP to be advertised for installation of electronic pressure and temperature sensors for fire hydrants. 10. Order to approve and authorize the purchase of (1) Kubota KX057-5R3A with rubber tracks (serial no#29042) from Deviney Equipment in the amount of $44,342.53. (quotes obtained) 11. Order to approve and authorize the purchase of (1) Kubota KX057-5R3A with rubber tracks (serial no#29294) from Deviney Equipment in the amount of $48,342.53. (quotes obtained) 12. Order to approve and authorize the purchase of (1) Kubota KX057-5R3A with rubber tracks (serial no#30863) from Deviney Equipment in the amount of $57,342.53. (quotes obtained) 13. Order to approve and authorize payment of May invoice from Pickering Firm, Inc. for $8,810.00 on MPO Traffic Signal Modifications (80/49 and Phillips Lane). 14. Order to set public hearing for July 5, 2023 to determine whether or not a Variance to allow S & S Builders of MS, Inc. to have open ditch roadway in-lieu of curb and gutter construction in Anderson Oaks Subdivision. 15. Order to set public hearing on July 5, 2023 at 6:00 p.m., to determine whether or not that certain parcel of real property owned by United States Postal Service SO Regional Office and located at 2300 Highway 80 E., Pearl, Rankin County, Mississippi 39208, is in such a condition or state as to be unsightly and unkept or otherwise a menace to public health and safety of the community, and therefore prohibited, pursuant to Chapter 24 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Peal, Mississippi and Section 21-19-11 of Mississippi Code of 1972, as Amended. 16. Order to set public hearing on July 5, 2023 at 6:00 p.m., to determine whether or not that certain parcel of real property owned byRuby Cannon and located at 239 Reynolds Street, Pearl, Rankin County, Mississippi 39208, is in such a condition or state as to be unsightly and unkept or otherwise a menace to public health and safety of the community, and therefore prohibited, pursuant to Chapter 24 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Peal, Mississippi and Section 21-19-11 of Mississippi Code of 1972, as Amended. Order to approve the Annual Renewal with iWorq Systems, Inc. as part of the current 3-year contract. iWorq is a software that the Community Development Department utilizes for Permit Management, Code Enforcement, Business License Issuance and Management, Property Inspections, Contractor Management and Property information for the city and to authorize Mayor Windham to sign all related documents. 18. Order to approve and authorize the police officers identified on the proposed part-time work schedule for June 2023, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, the use of the official Pearl Police Department uniform and official Pearl Police Department duty weapon and finding that the proposed employment is not likely to bring disrepute to the City of Pearl, or the Pearl Police Department, the officers at issue, or law enforcement generally, and that the use of the official uniform and weapon in the discharge of the officer’s private security endeavor promotes the public interest of the City of Pearl. 19. Order to approve and authorize the police officers identified on the proposed part-time work schedule for July 2023, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, the use of the official Pearl Police Department uniform and official Pearl Police Department duty weapon and finding that the proposed employment is not likely to bring disrepute to the City of Pearl, or the Pearl Police Department, the officers at issue, or law enforcement generally, and that the use of the official uniform and weapon in the discharge of the officer’s private security endeavor promotes the public interest of the City of Pearl. 20. Order to approve and authorize payment of May invoice #8 from Hemphill Construction Company for $148,303.50 on the SE Sanitary Sewer Project. (100% funded by ARPA/MCWI) 21. Order to approve and authorize payment of May invoice from Pickering Firm, Inc. for $10,935 on MPO Overlay Project 22. Order to approve and authorize the installation and purchase of VT SCADA system for cloud based system for lift stations, by Control Systems, Inc., in the amount of $71,650.00. (quotes obtained) PUBLIC HEARINGS 1. Consider request by Michael Engle for a conditional use permit to build and operate a self-storage facility at Country Place Parkway(Parcel#F08L-9-33), Pearl, MS 39208. 2. Consider request by Gurmej Singh for a conditional use permit to build and operate a convenience store at 643 S. Pearson Road Pearl, MS 39208 shall be granted.
