schedule for August 2023, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, the use of the official
Pearl Police Department uniform and official Pearl Police Department duty weapon and finding
that the proposed employment is not likely to bring disrepute to the City of Pearl, or the Pearl
Police Department, the officers at issue, or law enforcement generally, and that the use of the
official uniform and weapon in the discharge of the officer’s private security endeavor promotes
the public interest of the City of Pearl.

1. Order to set public hearing for July 18, 2023 to determine whether or not a Conditional Use
Permit to allow Casey Shows to build a 40x60 metal accessory building at 3512 Longstreet
Drive, Pearl, MS 39208 shall be granted.
Casey Shows appeared at the hearing on his behalf. Community Development Director,
Brad Robertson recommended the conditional use should be granted as long as the building
could not be seen from the street or by any neighboring homes. Motion was made by
Alderman Gill and seconded by Alderman Williams to accept the Community Development
Director's recommendation and grant the Conditional Use Permit to allow Casey Shows to
build a 40x60 metal accessory building at 3512 Longstreet Drive, Pearl, MS 39208. The
following members of the Board of Alderman voted in favor of the Motion which became
the Order of the Board:
Aye: Alderman McHenry, Alderman Williams, Alderman Dennis, Alderman
Foy, and Alderman Gill
Nay: Alderman Steverson, and Alderman Knight
GENERAL BUSINESS

A motion was made by Alderman Knight, seconded by Alderman Williams, to adjourn the meeting in
Honor of David Smith Bain and Luther Steverson. The motion carried by the following vote:
