Order to set public hearing on August 1, 2023, at 6:00 p.m., to determine 22-1096 whether or not that certain parcel of real property owned by Arciterra a/k/a Office Depot Pearl MS LLC, and located at 5450 Highway 80 East, Pearl, Rankin County, Mississippi 39208, is in such a condition or state as to be unsightly and unkept or otherwise a menace to public health and safety of the community, and therefore prohibited, pursuant to Chapter 24 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Pearl, Mississippi and Section 21-19-11 of Mississippi Code of 1972, as Amended. 7. Order to set public hearing on August 1, 2023 at 6:00 p.m., to determine 22-1097 whether or not that certain parcel of real property owned by Daniel G. Kamin Eastgate Enterprises and located at 3025 Highway 80 E, Pearl, Rankin County, Mississippi 39208, is in such a condition or state as to be unsightly and unkept or otherwise a menace to public health and safety of the community, and therefore prohibited, pursuant to Chapter 24 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Pearl, Mississippi and Section 21-19-11 of Mississippi Code of 1972, as Amended. 8. Order to adopt a Resolution to adjudicate the cost of cutting the grass at the 22-1050 property at 4141 Shelton Street and assessing the cost to the property. Order to set public hearing for August 15, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. to determine 22-1058 whether or not that certain parcel of real property owned by Connie Tate, and located at 118 Jones Circle, Pearl, Rankin County, Mississippi 39208 (Parcel No. F08000067 00030; PPIN No. 077446) is in such a condition or state as to be unsightly and unkept or otherwise a menace to the public health and safety of the community, and therefore, prohibited, pursuant to Chapter 24 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Pearl, Mississippi and Section 21-19-11 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as Amended. 10. Order to set public hearing for August 15, 2023 to determine whether or not a 22-1065 Conditional Use Permit to allow Ahmad Duais to operate a Medical Cannabis Dispensary at 3139 Greenfield Road, Pearl, MS 39208. 11. Order to approve and authorize the write off of inactive water/sewer/garbage 22-1064 accounts as uncollectible and to send the same to Advanced Recovery Systems, Inc. for collection. 12. Order to approve and authorize the purchase of a Cushman Hauler truckster 22-1066 in the amount of $11,789.00 from Ben Nelson Golf and Outdoor. This is a budgeted item for the Parks and Recreation Department and it is under state contract. 13. Order to approve and authorize the repairs to UFD-11 in the amount of 22-1068 $13,191.70 by Emergency Equipment Professionals. 14. Order to approve and authorize the police officers identified on the proposed 22-1070 part-time work schedule for August 2023, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, the use of the official Pearl Police Department uniform and official Pearl Police Department duty weapon and finding that the proposed employment is not likely to bring disrepute to the City of Pearl, or the Pearl Police Department, the officers at issue, or law enforcement generally, and that the use of the official uniform and weapon in the discharge of the officer’s private security endeavor promotes the public interest of the City of Pearl. 15. Order to approve and authorize payment of June Contractor’s Estimate #12 22-1071 from T. L. Wallace in the amount of $1,778,320.78 on the Pearl-Richland Intermodal Connector Bridge Project (100% funded) 16. Order to accept the final plat for Serenity Lake Phase II. 22-1072 17. Order to approve Supplemental Agreement No. 2 by and between the 22-1073 Pearl-Richland Intermodal Connector Commission and Pickering Firm, Inc. for construction engineering and inspection services resulting from a change in the scope of the project, and to authorize Mayor Windham to execute the same (contingent upon MDOT review and approval). Order to approve the Memorandum of Understanding by and between the 22-1079 Mississippi Department of Finance and Administration and the City of Pearl for lighting improvements on US Highway 80; to disburse funds from House Bill 603 2023 in an amount not to exceed $1,500,000 for the project; and to authorize Mayor Windham to execute all documents. 19. Order to approve the Memorandum of Understanding by and between the 22-1080 Mississippi Department of Finance and Administration and the City of Pearl for Pearl-Richland Intermodal Connector; to disburse funds from House Bill 603 2023 in an amount not to exceed $500,000 for the project; and to authorize Mayor Windham to execute all documents. 20. Order to approve payment of May Engineering Invoice Package #17 from 22-1081 Pickering Firm, Inc. in the amount of $40,841.73 on the Pearl-Richland Intermodal Connector Project (100% funded) 21. Order to approve and authorize the purchase of 1 AudioArts 12 channel Air 22-1083 4 audio console along with 2 tabletop headphone amp accessories from Broadcasters General Store in the amount of $6,116.05. (Quotes obtained) 22. Order to approve and authorize the Lease Agreement and Maintenance 22-1084 Support Agreement, by and between Advantage Business Systems and City of Pearl, for a Bizhub C550i Copier system, in the amount of $336.00 per month for 36 months, and Maintenance Support, in the amount of $.0071 per B/W page and $.0459 per page for color, and to authorize Mayor Windham to sign all related documents; machine will be placed in Public Works. (state contract). 23. Order to approve and authorize the purchase of (15) Windham 11.5” rifle 22-1085 ($1,000.00 ea) and (15) Dead Air Sandman ($600.00 ea) from Southern Connection in the total amount of $24,000.00. This purchase will be paid for by funds received from the sale of surplus property. 24. Order to adopt a Resolution requesting a $10,000,000 Section 219 22-1088 Environmental Infrastructure Authorization in the 2024 Water Resources Development Act to help address critical water and wastewater (including stormwater management), drainage systems, and water quality needs. 25. Order to set public hearing for September 19, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. to consider 22-1099 amending the Official Zoning Ordinance of the City of Pearl, Mississippi. 26. Order to accept Deed of Dedication for Lodi drive from Hwy. 80 to Skyway 22-1101 Hills platted subdivisions and to authorize Mayor Windham to execute the same. Determine whether or not a Conditional Use Permit shall be granted to 22-1098 Roddy Rumbley to allow him to build and operate an Express Tunnel Car Wash on Parcel #E08I-27 on South Pearson Road. 2. Consider Amendment to the Official Zoning Ordinance of the City of Pearl, 22-958 Mississippi. PUBLIC HEARINGS 21-19-11 Determine whether or not the owners and those certain parcels of real property which are listed herein, are in such a condition or state as to be unsightly and un-kept or otherwise a menace to the public health and safety of the community, and therefore, prohibited, pursuant to Chapter 24 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Pearl, Mississippi and Section 21-19-11 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as Amended: 3.
