CALL TO ORDER ROLL CALL Present: Alderman Williams Alderman Dennis Alderman Steverson Alderman Foy Alderman Gill Mayor Windham Absent: Alderman McHenry Alderman Knight PUBLIC COMMENT There was no public comment. GENERAL BUSINESS 1. Consider an Order to Adopt a Resolution Fixing the Ad Valorem Tax Levy on Real and Personal Property Taxes for the City of Pearl, Mississippi for the Fiscal Year 2023 – 2024. Total for said municipal purposes 27.50 mills with 10.65 mills allocated to the General Fund and 16.85 mills allocated to City Debt. Motion was made by Alderman Foy and seconded by Alderman Gill to adopt a Resolution Fixing the Ad Valorem Tax Levy on Real and Personal Property Taxes for the City of Pearl, Mississippi for the Fiscal Year 2023 – 2024. Total for said municipal purposes 27.50 mills with 10.65 mills allocated to the General Fund and 16.85 mills allocated to City Debt. There is no tax increase. The following members of the Board of Alderman voted in favor of the Motion which became the Order of the Board: Aye: Alderman Williams, Alderman Dennis, Alderman Steverson, Alderman Foy, and Alderman Gill Absent: Alderman McHenry, and Alderman Knight 2. Consider an Order to Adopt a Resolution Fixing the Ad Valorem Tax Levy on Real and Personal Property Taxes for the Pearl Public School District for the Fiscal Year 2023 – 2024. Total for said school district purposes 58.70 mills with 51.80 mills allocated to the School Maintenance Fund and 6.90 mills allocated to the 2016 Special Obligation School Bond. Motion was made by Alderman Foy and seconded by Alderman Dennis to adopt a Resolution Fixing the Ad Valorem Tax Levy on Real and Personal Property Taxes for the Pearl Public School District for the Fiscal Year 2023 – 2024. Total for said school district purposes 58.70 mills with 51.80 mills allocated to the School Maintenance Fund and 6.90 mills allocated to the 2016 Special Obligation School Bond. There is no tax increase. The following members of the Board of Alderman voted in favor of the Motion which became the Order of the Board: Aye: Alderman Williams, Alderman Dennis, Alderman Steverson, Alderman Foy, and Mayor Windham Page 1 of 2 Mayor and Board of Aldermen Meeting Minutes August 29, 2023 Absent: Alderman McHenry, and Alderman Knight Recused: Alderman Gill ADJOURN A motion was made by Alderman Foy and seconded by Alderman Steverson to adjourn the meeting.
