Boards and Commissions Vacancies Discussion and possible action to appoint, reappoint, recruit, or schedule interviews for various City Boards and Commissions including, but not limited to, Building Board of Appeals, Industrial Development Authority, Veterans Memorial Board, and Youth Advisory Board. Building Board of Appeals The subcommittee was advised that there are no qualified applicants for the current vacancies. Council Boards and Commissions Subcommittee September 10, 2019 Page 2 Industrial Development Authority By consensus, the Subcommittee asked staff to schedule interviews with Joseph Grammatico and Dwight Wininger. Veterans Memorial Board By consensus, the Subcommittee asked staff to schedule an interview with Donald Scott. Youth Advisory Board Motion was made by Subcommittee Member Edwards, seconded by Chairman Patena to appoint Ravi Bhakta as a regular member for a partial term to expire June 30, 2020. Upon vote, the motion carried unanimously 2-0. By consensus, the Subcommittee asked staff to schedule interviews with Sophia Acosta, Shivani Bahl, and Kristeena Dominguez. 3R. Board and Commission Review Robert Goodhue, Economic Development Services Director, provided an overview of the composition, powers, duties and activities related to the Building Board of Appeals.
