SPECIAL MEETING CITY OF PIEDMONT – PARK & RECREATION BOARD George Fina Municipal Building 314 Edmond Road NW Wednesday, September 8th, 2021 6:00 p.m. MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Charo Green, and Vise Chair Shelly Williamson, Alexa McNeil, Jan Swenson, and Gary Henchman MEMBERS ABSENT: None STAFF PRESENT: None 1) CALL TO ORDER – Chairman Charo Guillory called the meeting to order at 6:00pm 2) ROLL CALL – Chairman Charo Guillory called roll and a quorum was present 3) BUSINESS ITEMS – a) Discussion of future events at the Piedmont Park Alexa McNeil addressed the board Bites and beats are our next event, we will have food trucks and music. Charo Green addressed the board We shouldn’t need any volunteers is this is more relaxed. People will get food from the food trucks and listen to music. We can try to have someone hand out smores stuff. A motion was not made for business item a. b) Discussion of possible contract(s) Vise Chair Shelly Williamson addressed the board I wanted to find out the price to have Louanne help with these events. The price depends what all she will be doing and responsible for. We will need to decide what events we will have and how big the event is that she will be planning. Chairman Charo Green addressed the board We need to figure out the amounts for the easter and other events will cost. Vise Chair Shelly Williamson addressed the board I think we should pay her like a vendor and use her for the events we need help with, instead of all events. A motion was not made for business item b. c) Discussion of forms of communication and Trello (communication board) d) Discussion of scheduling a special meeting on September 29, 2021 4) NEW BUSINESS – a) “New business,” as used herein, shall mean any matter not known about or which could not have been reasonably foreseen prior to the time of posting.
