SPECIAL MEETING CITY OF PIEDMONT – PARK & RECREATION BOARD George Fina Municipal Building 314 Edmond Road NW Thursday, September 23rd, 2021 6:00 p.m. MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Charo Green, Alexa McNeil, Jan Swenson, and Gary Henchman MEMBERS ABSENT: None STAFF PRESENT: City Secretary Arielle Garcia 1) CALL TO ORDER – Chairman Charo Green called the meeting to order at 6:03 pm 2) ROLL CALL – City Secretary Arielle Garcia called roll and a quorum was present 3) BUSINESS ITEMS – a) Discussion and possible action on logistics for circus and future events. Mayor Kurt Mayabb addressed the board we can’t fit the circus in the lot at 164th and piedmont road. We will have the circus to the north of Williams grocery. I have already talked to the owner Jeff William and he has agreed to allow us to have the circus there. We can use 2/3 of the parking lot but we have to keep 1/3 open for the customers shopping in the store. We need some signs showing where circus parking is. We would like to have 2 officers here from 1pm- 6pm. Jan Swenson addressed the board We need two ticket takers, 4 parking attendance, and 2 officers. A motion was not made 4) NEW BUSINESS – a) “New business,” as used herein, shall mean any matter not known about or which could not have been reasonably foreseen prior to the time of posting. (25 O.S. 311a(9)) None 5) BOARD MEMBER’S COMMENTS – Chairman Charo Green addressed the board I had a message from Shelly Williamson that she wanted me to share; “Piedmont area Veterans association have claimed responsibility for the flag that would be put up at the Piedmont Park.” 6) ADJOURN – Chairman Charo Green adjourned the meeting at 6:42pm ____________________________________ ____________________________________ Chairman, Charo Green City Secretary, Arielle Garcia
