Mayor's Youth Advisory Committee

MINUTES OF THE MANAGER’S YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE, HELD OCTOBER 20TH, 2016 AT 6:50 IN THE TOWN COUNCIL CHAMBERS. Keala Bratsch called the meeting to order at 6:50 Present: Caroline Goode, Deborah James, Natalie Campbell, Danny West, Bailee Babbitt, Keala Bratsch, Josiah Goode, Skyla Rigg, Keith Johnson, and Matthew Williams Item#1: Welcome and Attendance: All members present except Sydney Crain . Item #2: Approval of September 8th Minutes: Keala Bratsch Motioned to approve Natalie Campbell Seconded Approval was unanimous Item #3:Trunk or Treat: We discussed volunteering at the Trunk or Treat event on October 31st. MYAC will be assisting with the hayride, costume contest, and event HQ. We reviewed the adjusted location and event organization, including the pumpkin carving contest and MYAC’s costume contest. MYAC determined that there will be prizes for costumes in three categories: funniest, most original, and scariest. We reviewed what procedures to take in the event of an emergency situation. We will be volunteering from 5:00 to the event’s close at 8:00. Item #4: Cool Runnings: MYAC discussed the Cool Runnings event that took place in September and potential ways to increase turnout for the event next year. We explored the possibility of changing the date, turning the race into a color run, timing solutions, etc. Item #5: Town Meeting: MYAC would like to attend the upcoming town meeting on November 17th at 6:00.
