MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE MAYOR’S YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE HELD ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 15, 2019 IN THE PINETOP-LAKESIDE TOWN HALL LOCATED AT 325 W. WHITE MOUNTAIN BLVD., LAKESIDE, AZ 85929 A. Call to Order: Head Chair Skyla Rigg called the meeting to order At 7:03 a.m. Pledge of Allegiance: Head Chair Skyla led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll Call: The following members were present: Olivia Everingham Member Paris Poppen Member Rebekah James Vice-Chair Quinton Lawler Member Skyla Rigg Head Chair Anneliese Goode Member Megan Lawler Member Landon Rigg Member Paige Flake Member Also present: Malaina Spillman Recreation Coordinator Keith Johnson Town Manager Stephanie Irwin Mayor B. Minutes: B.1 Member Quinton Lawler moved to approve the following minutes: Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee Regular Meeting June 27, 2019 The motion was seconded my Member Everingham and was carried with a 9-0 voice vote B.2 Member Quinton Lawler moved to approve the following minutes: Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee Regular Meeting July 25, 2019 The motion was seconded my Member Everingham and was carried with a 9-0 voice vote C. Old Business: - None D. New Business D.1 Review and Discussion of MYAC By-Laws. Each member read an article of the MYAC By-Laws D.2 Discussion and Legal Action Regarding MYAC FY2019-2020 meeting schedule. Vice-Chair Rebecca moved to approve meetings occurring the second Thursday of every month at 7:00 am The motion was seconded by Member Quinton Lawler and was carried with a 9-0 voice vote D.3 Discussion and Approval of FY2019-2020 Goals, Priorities, Special Projects and Fundraising Recreation Coordinator Spillman gave back round on project radar. Goal is to talk to Mr. Webb at the end of August and get the assembly set for the end of September. Get more goals and ideas during the League Conference. Fundraise by doing a bake sale and concession at Pinetop Days. D.4 Discussion Regarding Poster Board about Special Projects and Fundraising for Arizona League of Cities and Towns. Member Goode moved to make poster for Arizona League of Cities and Towns during the Movie in the Park. The motion was seconded by Member Everingham and was carried with a 9-0 voice vote. D.5 Review attached training information. Recreation Coordinator Spillman read over MYAC meeting criteria. E. Public Comments: Head Chair Rigg called for public comments. Recreation Coordinator Spillman commented about leaving right after school for the Arizona League of Cities and Towns. We will meet at the Town Hall. F.
