TOWN OF PINETOP-LAKESIDE MAYOR’S YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETS
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 9TH, 2021 – 7:00 A.M.
TOWN HALL – 325 W. WHITE MOUNTAIN BLVD, LAKESIDE, AZ 85929
AGENDA
A. Call to Order: Chairman Landon Rigg called the meeting to order at 7:56 a.m.
➢ Pledge of Allegiance; Chairman Landon Rigg led the Pledge of Allegiance.

B. Consent Agenda:
B.1 Minutes of MYAC meeting held on September 9th, 2021.
Member Lawler moved to approve the following minutes. The motion was seconded by
Member Parker Rigg, and was carried with a 7-0 voice vote.
C. Old Business:
C.1 Discussion Regarding Serving Lunch at Pinetop-Lakeside Senior Center.
Due to a half day on Thursday, MYAC members discuss the possibility of moving the date,
serving at the Senior Center to a different day.
C.2 Review and Discussion Regarding Upcoming Events.
Pinetop-Lakeside’s Fall Festival Parade will take place September 25th. Malaina is offering
volunteer hours to those wanting to help out with parade numbers. Blue Ridge High School’s
Student Council will participate in the Fall Festival Parade. “The Wall That Heals” will be in town
September 27th. MYAC members are allowed to gain volunteer hours at Mountain Meadows,
regarding “The Wall That Heals”. The town is putting on a Trunk-or-Treat in the parking lot of
Blue Ridge High School on October 30th. MYAC members are expected to attend and dress up.
Currently waiting on more information about this year’s Christmas Tree Lighting.
C.3 Review and Discussion Regarding League Conference.
Since we were unable to attend, Malaina wants to get information from people who got to
attend the League Conference. This is a great way to get ideas from other people our age.
D. New Business:
D.1 Discussion Regarding FY21-22 Goals and Priorities.
MYAC member’s homework assignment is to think of what Blue Ridge High School and our
community needs. Skate park at Mountain Meadows? School surveys? MYAC members would
like student and community input.
D.2 Discussion Regarding MYAC Participation in Town Council Meeting.
Attending the Town Council Meetings is going to be an open opportunity for MYAC
members. Members will be able to watch the Town Council run a proper meeting. More
information will be discussed at the next meeting.
E. Public Comments:
Chairman Landon Rigg calls for any comments.
E.1 The Mayor thanks MYAC members for attending and helping with the 9/11
flag setup.
F. Adjournment: There being no further business at this time, the meeting was adjourned
at 8:23 a.m. by Chairman Landon Rigg.
