PUBLIC NOTICE TOWN OF PINETOP-LAKESIDE MAYOR’S YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETS THURSDAY, MARCH 10, 2022 – 7:00 A.M. TOWN HALL – 325 W. WHITE MOUNTAIN BLVD, LAKESIDE, AZ 85929 A. Call to Order: Chairman Landon Rigg called the meeting to order at 7:04 a.m.. Pledge of Allegiance: Chairman Landon Rigg led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll Call: Members present: Landon Rigg Chairman Quinton Lawler Vice Chairman Shayla Grzelak Secretary Grace Smithson Treasurer Parker Rigg Member Also present: Stephanie Irwin Mayor Keith Johnson Town Manager Malaina Spillman Assistant to the Public Works Director B. Consent Agenda: B.1 Minutes of MYAC meeting held on March 10, 2022. Member Quinton Lawler moved to approve the following minutes. The motion was seconded by Member Parker Rigg, and was carried with a 5-0 voice vote. C. Old Business: C.1 Discussion Regarding Serving Lunch at Pinetop-Lakeside Senior Center. MYAC members will be serving lunch at the senior center, April 14th, 2022. D. New Business: D.1 Discussion Regarding February 3, 2022, Town Council Meeting. There was lots of positive feedback from the Mayor, Keith, and Malaina regarding the town council meeting which MYAC members got to run on February 3, 2022. MYAC is hoping to make this an annual or biannual event for future MYAC. D.2 Discussion Regarding Recruitment of New FY2022-2023 MYAC Members. It is time to start recruiting new MYAC members. Malaina will email current MYAC members and Blue Ridge High School counselors an application packet for those who wish to apply. Interviews for the applicants will be held in May. In June, we will have  our first official MYAC meeting with the new council members. E. Public Comments: The Mayor reminds senior MYAC members to apply for the Blue Ridge High School Scholarship Fund, which is due April 15th. How can the town communicate the good about Blue Ridge to the community? The Mayor asks MYAC members for ideas about presenting positive things that happen at Blue Ridge. The Tillman Honor Run is April 9th, starting around 9:45 a.m.. Let Malaina know if you would like to help volunteer. Easter festivities will be held at Jack Barker Park on April 16th, from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.. MYAC members are strongly encouraged to help volunteer. We need MYAC members to dress up as unicorns or the Easter Bunny. The Chili Cookoff is May 21st at Mountain Meadow. More information will be addressed at the next meeting. F.
