CITY OF PLACERVILLE
HISTORICAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE
THURSDAY, JULY 17, 2014, 6:00 P.M. SCOUT HALL,
3071 BENHAM STREET PLACERVILLE, CALIFORNIA
1. Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance
Chair Wolfe called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m., then led those in
attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance.
2. Roll Call
Present: Chair Wolfe, Vice Chair Harkey, Member Hardy, Member Sellers
Absent: Secretary Rogers
3. Adoption of Agenda
Moved by Chair Wolfe and seconded by Member Sellers to adopt the agenda.
Motion was adopted by general consent.
4. Adoption of Minutes – June 5, 2014 Regular Meeting
Moved by Member Hardy and seconded by Member Sellers to adopt the
minutes. Motion was adopted by the following vote:
Yeas: Member Hardy, Member Sellers, Vice Chair Harkey
Nays: None
Abstain: Chair Wolfe
5. Public Comment:
None Received
6. Committee Discussion Items:
A. Outreach to local community organizations
Member Hardy updated the Committee on outreach with the Placerville
Downtown Association (PDA) Executive Board. By general consent of the
Committee, Member Hardy was requested to arrange a future joint meeting
of the Historical Advisory Committee with the PDA Executive Board.
B. Meeting location, dates and times
Staff Liaison Painter provided a summary of the availability of Town Hall
for future Commission meetings. No action was taken.

C. Future agenda discussion items
Potential discussion items were offered by Members, including:
asking community organizations to give talks on history or historic
preservation matters;
informational talks by property owners regarding local historic
resources;
media campaign outreach topics: handouts/mailers to property owners
within historic districts, alterations to historic resources within the City;
presentation by Chair Wolfe regarding bicycle tour observances of
small U.S. towns/cities
7. Committee Member Report by Chair Wolfe:
Chair Wolfe provided an overview of the Keeping Time IV Historic Preservation
Conference he attended on June 20, 2014, Columbia State Park, California.
8. Communications from Committee Members and Staff Liaison
Staff Liaison Painter updated the Committee regarding Member Rogers and
projects recently considered by the Committee.
