PUBLIC COMMENT: None ACTION ITEMS: Aquatics Schedule and Participant Fees: Mr. Lishman reported that with minimum wage increasing $0.50 to $11.00 per hour on January 1, 2018 it will have an impact on the City’s Aquatic Programs. Mr. Lishman shared with the commission the recommended fee increases to the following programs: Group Swim Lessons will increase $3 to $71 for the 2-week lessons and $2 to $47 for the 1-week lessons: Lap Swim will increase $1 to $5 for seniors and $1 to $7 for adults for the drop in rate; and a $10 increase to the season pass to $135 for seniors and $10 to $175 for adults. All other program areas have slight modifications to the schedule in an attempt to save money. Mr. Lishman shared an email from Bonnie West regarding her thoughts and concerns with the proposed lap swim fees. Beth Fellman stated she felt the new lap swim price is very reasonable. She also feels the time of lap swim is adequate. Mrs. Fellman stated she would love to see a bit more press regarding the pool. She stated it might be nice to see an article regarding the history of the pool and what maintenance needs to be done in the future. The facility is always very clean. Signage coming into town would be nice to promote the pool. Mrs. Fellman stated AquaBucks would be a nice option for lap swimmers for whatever price we think is reasonable. Mrs. Fellman stated graffiti has been a big problem through out the City. The trail is also confusing as to which side of the trail to walk or bike on. Mr. Mathews made a motion to approve staff’s recommendation. Mr. Nolan 2nd. Motion approved unanimously. STAFF REPORTS: Youth Assistance Fund: Mr. Lishman reported that since our last meeting there were 8 requests for funding in the amount of $408.00. Our first meeting is scheduled for January 31. We hope to start using Active Net beginning in late March, early April when we start taking registration for the City’s summer programs.
