HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION Special Meeting Minutes for August 16, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. Idaho State University (ISU) Eli M. Oboler Library, lower level, room 39B 850 South 9th Avenue, Pocatello, Idaho The meeting began at 4:05 p.m. AGENDA ITEM #1: ROLL CALL PRESENT: Tabatha Butler, Ruta Casabianca, Denis Clijsters, Ellen Ryan, Marty Vizcarra and Jim Young. UNEXCUSED: Josh Pohlman. STAFF: Jim Anglesey and Aceline McCulla. AGENDA ITEM #2: TOUR OF THE ISU SPECIAL COLLECTIONS. The Commission will convene in a tour of the ISU Special Collections. ISU Archivist and Head of Special Collections and Archives Ellen Ryan took the HPC on a tour of the ISU Special Collections. Oboler Library, lower level, room 39B 850 South 9th Avenue, Pocatello, Idaho The Historic Preservation Commission is a citizen advisory group to the City Council. They are charged with making decisions concerning the exteriors of the buildings in the Downtown Historic District, make recommendations to the City Council for designation of historic properties and historic preservation and promote historic preservation in the city. The Commission also plays a vital role in the City’s downtown revitalization efforts. All meetings of the HPC are recorded for record retention and transcription. The following is the official agenda of the Historic Preservation Commission. Discussion and Commission action will be limited to those items on the agenda. Agenda Item 1: Roll Call. Agenda Item 2: TOUR OF THE ISU SPECIAL COLLECTIONS. The Commission will convene in a tour of the ISU Special Collections. Idaho State University Eli M.
