BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY Regular Meeting March 8, 2022 10:30 AM Pledge of Allegiance. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Lynch at 10:30 A.M. Members Present: Mayor Lynch, Jamie Lewis, Scott Williams, and Stephanie Young-Johnson. Also, present was Clerk-Treasurer Nina Rivas and Attorney Dan Whitten. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING: Member Lewis made a motion to approve the February 22, 2022, minutes; Member Williams seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch offered an amendment to the minutes. The amendment is changing the month Member Young-Johnson was sworn in from February to January. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 5 yes – 0 nays OLD BUSINESS: Special Event Request – Daniel Rueckert Member Williams made a motion to approve the Special Event Request; Member Lewis seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 5 yes – 0 nays Woodlands Sidewalk and Curb Waiver Member Williams made a motion to deny the Sidewalk and Curb Waiver Request; Member Collins seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Mayor Lynch requested a roll call vote. Motion passed. 5 yes – 0 nays NEW BUSINESS: Sourcewell Snowplow Truck – Quote Approval Member Williams made a motion to approve the quote, contingent upon Council approval, as early as March 16th utilizing the ARP funds; Member Lewis seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. yes – 0 nays Resolution Authorizing K-9 Transfer Member Lewis made a motion to adopt the K-9 Transfer Resolution; Member Collins seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. yes – 0 nays BULK ITEM APPEALS: None. CLAIMS Member Williams made a motion to approve the claims; Member Collins seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 5 yes – 0 nays MAJOR ILLNESS: Member Collins made a motion to approve eight (8) MI Claims; Member Lewis seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. yes – 0 nays OTHER BUSINESS: Monnier Court – Dry Well Request Member Lewis made a motion to table the request; Member Williams seconded the motion. Member Williams asked if the item needed to be voted on. Attorney Whitten stated no action needed to be taken since it wasn’t an agenda item. ADJOURNMENT Mayor Lynch entertained a motion to adjourn. Member Collins made a motion to adjourn, Member Williams seconded the motion.
