BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY Regular Meeting AUGUST 9, 2022 10:30 AM Pledge of Allegiance. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Lynch at 10:33 A.M. Members Present: Mayor Lynch, Jamie Lewis, Scott Williams, and Stephanie Young-Johnson. Also, present was Clerk-Treasurer Nina Rivas. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING: Member Williams made a motion to approve the July 12, 2022 minutes; Member Young-Johnson seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 4 yes – 0 nays UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Tag Day Request – Light of Life Food Pantry Member Williams made a motion to table the request; Member Lewis seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 4 yes – 0 nays NEW BUSINESS: Tag Day Request – Cheer & Tumble Headquarters Member Williams made a motion to approve the request; Member Lewis seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 4 yes – 0 nays Solicitor’s Permit Request – Robin Hood Restoration Member Lewis made a motion to approve the request; Member Stephanie Young-Johnson seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 4 yes – 0 nays Curb Waiver – Brookside Subdivision/Airport Road Member Lewis made a motion to approve the waiver; Member Williams seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 4 yes – 0 nays BULK ITEM APPEALS: None. CLAIMS: Member Lewis made a motion to approve the claims in the amount of $258,214.55; Member Young- Johnson seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 4 yes – 0 nays Member Williams made a motion to approve the ARP claims in the amount of $9,355.00; Member Lewis seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 4 yes – 0 nays MAJOR ILLNESS CLAIMS: Member Lewis made a motion to approve eight (8) Major Illness Claims and three (3) Covid MI Claims; Member Young Johnson seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 4 yes – 0 nays OTHER BUSINESS: ADJOURNMENT Mayor Lynch entertained a motion to adjourn.
