BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY Regular Meeting NOVEMBER 8, 2022 10:30 AM Pledge of Allegiance. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Lynch at 10:34 A.M. Members Present: Mayor Lynch, Joetta Collins, Jamie Lewis, Stephanie Young-Johnson, and Scott Williams. Also, present was Clerk-Treasurer Nina Rivas. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING: Member Williams made a motion to approve October 25, 2022, minutes; Member Lewis seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 5 yes – 0 nays UNFINISHED BUSINESS: None. NEW BUSINESS: Special Event Requests Kiwanis Christmas Parade - 12/03/22 Member Lewis made a motion to approve the request; Member Collins seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 5 yes – 0 nays YMCA Turkey Trot – 11/24/22 Member Williams made a motion to deny the permit application; Member Lewis seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 5 yes – 0 nays Salvation Army 11/24/22 Member Collins made a motion to approve the request contingent upon coordination with the City; Member Young-Johnson seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 5 yes – 0 nays Dedication of Land Member Williams made a motion to approve the dedication of land; Member Collins seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 5 yes – 0 nays Recommended Change Order #2 – 2022 Paving & Repair Project Member Lewis made a motion to approve Change Order #2; Member Collins seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 5 yes – 0 nays BULK ITEM APPEALS: None. CLAIMS: Member Williams made a motion to approve the claims in the amount of $854,529.66; Member Lewis seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. (Includes Lexipol invoice #INLEX12338 - $$15,720.81) 5 yes – 0 nays MAJOR ILLNESS CLAIMS: Member Collins made a motion to approve ten (10) Major Illness Claims and two (2) Covid MI Claims; Member seconded the motion.
