PRAIRIE VIEW ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION Notice of Special Board Meeting Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. Victorious Church, Community Room 21131 Pine Island Road Prairie View, Texas 77446 In accordance with an order of the Office of the Governor issued March 16, 2020, the Economic Development Corporation of the City of Prairie View will conduct a video conference and telephonic meeting in order to advance the public health goal of limiting face- to-face meetings (also called “social distancing”) to slow the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Discuss, Consider, and Possible Action regarding the status of the contract with Johnson Development Group pertaining to the Strategic Comprehensive Plan (Brown) 8. Discuss, Consider, and Possible Action establishing an efficient disbursement procedure provided by the Prairie View Economic Development Corporation Accountant (Singleton and Brown) 9. Discuss, Consider, and Possible Action regarding Annual Report Distribution (Brown) 10. Discuss, Consider, and Possible Action regarding the progress of the local COVID-19 Relief Grant recipients’ expansion/retention progress (Lampkin) 11. Discuss, Consider, and Possible Action regarding update and review of relevant information from the Prairie View City Council Retreat (Brown and Williams) Board/Staff Reports 12. Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.0415, the Board of Directors, without having provided notice, may make reports about items of community interest if no action is taken and possible action is not discussed regarding the information provided in the report. “Items of community interest” include: (1) expressions of thanks, congratulations, or condolence; (2) information regarding holiday schedules; (3) an honorary or salutatory recognition of a public official, public employee, or other citizen, except that discussions regarding a change in the status of a person’s public office or public employment is not an honorary or salutatory recognition for purposes of the PVEDC; (4) a reminder about an upcoming event organized or sponsored by the governing body; (5) information regarding a social, ceremonial, or community event organized or sponsored by an entity other than the PVEDC that was attend or is scheduled to be attended by a member of the governing body or an official or employee of the PVEDC; and, (6) announcements involving an imminent threat to the public health and safety of people in the political subdivision that has arisen after the posting of the agenda Items for Future Agendas Prairie View EDC Special Agenda 12/30/20 Page | 2 13.
