Health and Safety Committee

CITY OF PRESCOTT, WISCONSIN MARCH 16, 2021 HEALTH & SAFETY COMMITTEE Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of Health & Safety Committee was held Monday, March 15, 2021, 800 Borner St., Prescott, WI 54021. Call to order/Roll Call: Meeting was called to order by Chair Josh Gergen. Members present were Maureen Otwell and Bailey Ruona. Also present Mayor David Hovel. City Administrator Jayne Brand represented staff. A memo regarding how the Prescott Daze committee will be handled was discussed. The committee will be a subcommittee of the City Council. Meeting will need to be noticed and minutes taken. Appointments to the committee will be made by the Mayor and approved by the Council. Voting members of the committee will need to be residents of the city. There can be other members of the committee but they will not be voting members. The city will continue to insure the event and money will be run through the city. Discussion was held on what events would need certificate of liability insurance and which would need waiver of liability. The Street dance would need to be held by another non-profit as the city insurance would not be able to cover the liquor liability. Waivers will be provided to the Prescott Daze Committee by the city. Otwell/Ruona motion to adjourn passed without a negative voice vote. Respectfully Submitted, Jayne M. Brand City Administrator
