ADJOURNMENT Page 1 of 11  CITY OF PROSSER WASHINGTON 1002 DUDLEY AVENUE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS BUDGET AND FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2024 Call to Order Council Member Becken called the meeting of the City of Prosser Budget and Finance Committee to order at 6:30 p.m. Roll Call Council Member Kellogg, Council Member Cortes, City Administrator Glover, and Finance Director Yost were present. Minutes A motion was made by Council Member Cortes, seconded by Council Member Becken to approve the January 23, 2024 meeting minutes. Motion carried unanimously. Accounts Payable The Committee reviewed and discussed the claim checks prepared for City Council approval. Questions included: - Credit card transaction fees - Monthly fuel bill for all departments - Credit card purchase support and review Payroll The Committee reviewed and discussed the payroll checks for January 31, 2024. Other Items Finance Director Yost reported that Finance Department staff are currently reviewing department procedures and internal control policies. Once complete the updated policies will be provided for the committee's review. The Finance Department is also working with representatives from the State Auditor's Office to provide information about our financial software and how it is utilized. The Auditor's office intends to use this information to assist their auditors in the navigation of different systems during audits and to provide City's with recommendations specific to the software.
