Consideration of the Introduction and First Reading of Ordinance No. 79- 2/Amendment to Trash Collection Ordinance Motion by Yaroch, seconded by Goodar, to introduce and give first reading to Ordinance No. 79-2 an ordinance to amend section 70-34, the Rates and Charges section of the Solid Waste Ordinance and schedule the same for second reading and adoption at the City Council’s March 4, 2013, regular meeting. Consideration of Approving Council’s FY2013-14 Goals and Objectives Motion by Greene, seconded by Yaroch, to approve the Fiscal Year 2013-2014 City Council Goals and Objectives, with the inclusion of the following new objective under issue #5, Orientation and Training for Members of Boards and Commissions: OBJECTIVE: Encourage open communication with the Boards and Commissions serving at the appointment of the City Council. City Council and Board Members. All yeas Motion passes CITY MANAGER’S COMMENTS - Received a response from the State regarding our recent EVIP submittal – they have suggested some minor changes. COUNCIL COMMENTS All Councilors commented on the very successful Winter/Ice Festival and the snowmobile drag races. Councilors received a lot a positive feedback from residents regarding all of the events. All of the events were very well attended. LaFore – Updated Councilors on the success of the High School sports teams Rix – Reminder of upcoming calendar events: 2/20 – EDC at 7:00 pm The RPOA Ball has been cancelled – it was originally planned to take place 2/23. 2/24 – 50th anniversary of the Miss Richmond contest at 2:00 pm at Maniaci’s 2/25 – Council workshop at 5:30 pm 2/27 – TIFA at 7:00 pm 3/4 – Council at 7:00 pm CLOSED SESSION None scheduled.
